When you’re trusting someone to work in your home, you want the job done properly, without pressure or confusion. You want clear advice, honest pricing and work you can feel confident in once it’s finished.
I’m Callum Barker, a professional wall and floor tiler based in Ilkeston. I work with homeowners across Derbyshire and the wider East Midlands, carrying out tiling for kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces. Whether it’s a full room or a smaller job, I take the same care with preparation, finish and cleanliness.
I first got into tiling after being encouraged to learn a trade while working in a DIY store. That led me through my apprenticeship and into working for myself. Since then, I’ve built my experience across a wide range of projects, from ceramic and porcelain to natural stone and large format tiles.
My aim is simple. To give clear advice, realistic timescales and a finish that looks right and lasts.
I provide wall and floor tiling for domestic properties, including kitchens, bathrooms and hallways. I work with ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, mosaics and large format tiles, as well as carrying out floor preparation, levelling and waterproofing where needed.
If you’re planning a renovation, I’ll help you understand what’s involved before work begins. If a repair makes sense, I’ll say so. If a different option is likely to give a better long term result, I’ll explain why, so you can make the right decision for your home and budget.
You want tiling work done properly, with clear advice and no pressure. That means turning up as agreed, keeping your home tidy and carrying out the work with care.
I’m NVQ Level 2 qualified, hold a CSCS card, and was recognised as an Ultratiler by a leading manufacturer in the tiling industry. I take pride in my work and in building a reputation based on quality, reliability and straightforward service.
If you’re planning a tiling project or would like a quote, get in touch and I’ll talk you through the next steps. I’m always happy to answer questions and give honest advice before any work begins.
